Last weekend while Michael was working, Lily and I took a quick trip to Midland to see Gerald and Karen. Once again, Lily loved our trip! She was great on the plane and while we were in Midland despite the cold and rainy weather.
Showing her dolly the airplanes
On the plane and ready to go
Some prizes as Lily calls presents, were waiting for her. Hurry and open them up Gerald.
A new hat and gloves were waiting for Lily also. Lily kept the hat on for the rest of the evening! Before we left for a quick visit to their office, Lily put on her hat and gloves. We were about to walk out to the car when she said, "I got to look in the mirror". It was too funny - she went down the hall, checked herself out in the mirror, smiled and then was ready to go!
Lily was a big help to Gerald and Karen at the office.
We liked to help EVERYONE while we were there! One of their coworkers began to count some cash out while we were there and Lily ran over and said, "I can help you"!
For her prayers, she goes through her day and gives thanks for the different things from that day. It gives me a lot of insight to her day through her eyes and I love it! This night, she was thankful for "the office, the markers and paper"! Needless to say, she enjoyed her time helping out.
Gerald let Lily help or do just about everything! We played drums...
We helped cooking and cutting...
And we fed Rowdy.
The next day we got ready to go see Santa
All ready to go
No tears, not too excited, but did pretty good!
A present for me??
Let me see what I got.
And yes, those are antlers on her head because, duh...we were visiting Santa!
We had storytime at Barnes and Nobles. We (Gerald and Lily) did quite a bit of shopping and got a lot of neat books and toys. We all enjoyed a coffee while Lily played and read while it was raining outside.
One morning while we were enjoying our coffee with Reddi Wip, Lily had her own mug of Reddi Wip and was pretty pleased. She thought that was a pretty good way to start her day!
Helping Gerald out with his coffee
Laying in the dog bed, reading and watching TV. It's a good day Tater!
Some snuggles with Karen
Some last minute playing before heading to the airport to go home
Lily and I had a super time and can't wait to go for another visit whenever Gerald and Karen need some more "help".
