Pictures with Toddlers

Taking pictures of Lily can be exhausting but I LOVE having all the pictures of her!

She evidently is trying to take after her Mommy and learn about photography.  She snapped these while I was taking the above picture:

Not bad, huh??

 And no, I did not fall into the pool.

I now have the utmost respect for photographers working with little toddlers!  Lily will look at anything but the camera when it's time.  I think she does it just to get at me...you think?!?!

 Listening to me while I take her pictures is probably pretty entertaining:

Random noises I make to get her attention

How many fingers am I holding up?

Be still.

Let me see your eyes.

Smile.

Put your hands down.

Put your shirt down.

Just one more picture.
Look right here and be still.
Oh, almost Lily!

Then I repeat the above mantra over and over...

I pull out some M&Ms or sweet tarts.  I'm not above bribery after all! I know what works for my daughter.

The funny thing is when she's taking pictures of her stuffed animals, she says the exact same things!

So with all my hard work and Lily's personality enjoy...

I love learning a little bit more about taking pictures with such a cutie for my subject!
