Random Fun Times

We've been staying busy lately but I just haven't kept up with blogging about what we've been up to.  Hoping to get back at it this week!

Lily has started a new bed time....being asleep by 7:30!  It's amazing how much time there is now after she goes to sleep until we do.  I hope it qualifies as a routine - it's been about 4 nights now. :)

While he was here, we had this one night after dinner...

An ice cream bar.  We all loved this idea!

We did stay up late a few nights to watch the swimming and gymnastics Olympics.

We enjoyed a day out and about with these sweet little ones.  Lunch and swimming makes for a full day for all!

When I see Lily doing things just like the other kids, it makes my heart so happy!  We've had a few get togethers lately and I'm just amazed at how resilient she is.  I mean 6 months after we got her, she's sitting and eating with kids, playing with them and having the time of her life.

Seriously precious!  Lily loved holding hands but I think she wanted to hold hands a bit longer than he did.  And yes, her Daddy is already worrying.  

And at the end of these busy days one of my favorite things is how clean Lily smells after a bath and how comfortable she gets while snoozing in her home.  I love this little girl so much!

Life Lately

Life lately has been keeping us pretty busy around here.  To begin with, another first...

Our mall here has a carousel and this was the first time that Lily seemed interested.  When she saw it this past week, she wanted out of her stroller and to go get "on it"!  Of course we had to feed her a good nutritional lunch first so we had Chik-fil-A.  It's chicken so that's healthy right?  And when you are at the mall that's just what you do.

Then a few minutes later this happened!

I have to give Lily credit though.  This was after the ride was over and I just wanted one more picture  (ok, maybe a few more) so I left her side to snap a couple.  This was picture three and she wanted me right back at her side.  Afterall, that horse may take off again!

I was letting the Gracie and Roxi out one morning and called Lily to come out with me.

Yes Mommy, you called?!?!?  I'm very busy working on my iPad.

Before going out and about for a bit, Lily was in a mood to pose.

She wasn't much for sitting on a stool at first,  but she would let her friend sit there

I just noticed this post had Chik-fil-A, cookies and ice cream.  Don't judge!  It wasn't all in one day so there's that.

Jewelry and Watermelon

The summer heat is here.  It's HOT.  

Like don't even want to go outside in the afternoon hot.

So what to do during these hot afternoons?

Lily loves stickers and we're thankful to Karen and Gerald for the supply of fun stickers!  I have a whole tub of them that I pull from for some fun.

This day, we used some pretty "jewel" looking stickers.  I figured Lily would peel them off and put them in her notebook where she puts all her other stickers.

She had some other ideas...

She decided they weren't just stickers.  They were earrings, bracelets and rings.  Watch out Daddy...someone may need some real jewels soon!

Lily is learning her colors.  I love seeing her begin to learn these preschool concepts!

Lots of Swimming

I hope swimming too much doesn't have any adverse effects.  We try not to swim every day but the pool just calls out to us!

I'm anxious to see what we'll be doing in the fall when it's not swimming weather.  Good thing for us and living in a place where it will stay hot for a couple more months!
